Emergency Staffing Solutions (ESS) has been providing emergency department staffing services since 2001.  We specialize in low and mid-volume emergency departments with client hospitals in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky and New Mexico. 
 
With 50 client hospitals and over 200 physicians, ESS is a growing company currently employing 32 employees located in Dallas, Texas.  Our ability to provide our clients and physicians with immediate attention and prompt responses to issues is a direct reflection of our outstanding management team.
 
ESS Management Team

Our management team offers extensive experience and expertise in the emergency department management industry. This expertise has made ESS an industry leader in the suburban/urban sector of emergency department staffing.

Ron Weiss, Founder and CEO
Mr. Weiss has been in the emergency department management business for over 30 years. He is a hands-on owner and is involved in the day-to-day operations.

Alan Himmelstein, Executive Vice President
Mr. Himmelstein is the head of New Business Development.  He markets for ESS as well as Hospital Care Consultants (HCC), our hospitalist management program. 

Shonda Rupe, Vice President/OperationsMs. Rupe has 15 years experience in healthcare management. She oversees all aspects of the physician recruiting, credentialing, and scheduling.
 
Dr. Leigh W. Dillard, Chief Medical Director
Dr. Dillard is a graduate of The University of Mississippi and The University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He did his postgraduate training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. He currently continues in his private practice of Family Medicine in Mansfield, Louisiana where he has been located for 32 years.

Dr. Dillard is the author of “The ER Solution.” He is the president of the Desoto Parish Medical Society and Medical Director of the emergency department. He is also the Medical Director of the Parish Fire and Rescue Department, serves as Medical Director of several hospital departments including peer review and quality assurance. He is an Associate Professor of Undergraduate Education at LSUMC. He was selected 1998 Rural Physician of the Year by the Louisiana Rural Hospital Association.

Dr. Dillard has been the Medical Director for the Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi client hospitals for ESS since its inception 6 six years ago. He is well versed in physician coding and reimbursement issues. He is also very familiar with EMTALA and HIPPA guidelines. Dr. Dillard’s driving ambition as Medical Director of ESS is to “assist busy physicians in their understanding of these areas so as to free them from the pressures of regulation and let them practice medicine.”
 
Dr. Peter Way, Medical Director
Dr. Way is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He did his postgraduate training at Dallas Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Way was a private practice internal medicine physician at Medical City Dallas and Presbyterian Dallas prior to committing to full time emergency department work 17 years ago.

Dr. Way is the Medical Director for the Texas Department of Health Emergency Medical Service for many of the cities and groups located within the Dallas and Ft. Worth area and also acts as Medical Director for two large industrial plants.

Currently, he is the Senior Medical Director for ESS for our client hospitals in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Dr. Way is committed to providing the best care possible to the rural hospitals we serve. He also feels that the physicians who work in the rural hospital facilities will grow to be an indispensable and appreciated resource to these communities.
